EXO|E is a topically applied skin revitalising complex based on extracellular vesicles of plant origin, distributed in Europe by Croma-Pharma. It is conceived as a complete 15-day protocol — home preparation, in-clinic application and repair phase — designed to enhance and accompany procedures such as microneedling, fractional radiofrequency or ablative laser.

Composition and technology
- Plant-derived extracellular vesicles (PDEN): obtained by proprietary fermentation of Ustilago cynodontis.
- Activation of plant stem cells from Piper nigrum L. (black pepper) and Withania somnifera (ashwagandha).
- Consortia Factors ⍺1 complex (CF-⍺1): plant extracellular vesicles, growth factors, peptides, liposomes, amino acids and proteins.
- Concentration: approximately 30 billion extracellular vesicles per complete protocol.
- Formulation profile: 100 % natural, vegan, non-GMO, gluten-free, water-based. Free from acids, artificial preservatives and fragrances.
Important note: EXO|E is exclusively of plant origin. It contains no exosomes of human origin or material of human cellular origin.
Mechanism of action
The manufacturer's approach is biomimetic: the extracellular vesicles of plant origin act as biological messengers between cells. According to the manufacturer, the complex supports anti-inflammatory activity, wound healing, angiogenesis and the synthesis of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. The designation "E" stands for Equilibrium: the declared objective is the restoration of skin homeostasis.
Treatment protocol
The system is structured into three components and 29 applications per protocol:

Route of application: topical only. The syringe is a dosing system for topical application in the clinic, not an injectable product. The serum is applied over the whole face.
Compatible procedures: microneedling, radiofrequency microneedling, ablative laser and resurfacing, as well as adjunctive use with filler and botulinum toxin treatments.
