Disolvidase® is a lyophilised enzymatic hyaluronidase preparation from the French laboratory Dermaqual (Suresnes). The manufacturer expressly defines it as a topical cosmetic product for professional use, intended to improve the appearance of superficial irregularities after aesthetic procedures with hyaluronic acid. It is supplied in sterile vials of lyophilised preparation.

Composition and technology
Active substance: hyaluronidase in lyophilised form. The commercial designation of the product refers to an activity of 1,500 IU; Dermaqual does not publish in its product data sheet the breakdown of enzymatic activity or the origin of the enzyme, so no further figures are reproduced here.
Mechanism: hyaluronidase hydrolyses the glycosidic bonds of hyaluronic acid and fragments the high-molecular-weight chains. This depolymerisation reduces the viscosity of the extracellular matrix in the area of application.
Format: sterile lyophilised preparation, which requires dissolution before application in accordance with the manufacturer's protocol.
Regulatory status — important information
Dermaqual states literally: "Disolvidase® is a topical cosmetic product intended for professional use", and describes the pack as sterile vials of topical lyophilised cosmetic preparation.
- It is therefore a topical cosmetic for professional use: it is not a medicinal product or a medical device.
- It is not injectable. The manufacturer's instructions indicate application to intact skin with gentle massage, not parenteral administration.
- It does not cover — and must not be presented as a substitute for — the medical correction of complications after hyaluronic acid fillers: nodules, overcorrection, Tyndall effect or vascular occlusion.
This distinction is the regulatory key to this category: in Spain, hyaluronidase intended for injectable administration has the status of a medicinal product, with the corresponding requirements of prescription, dispensing and traceability. A topical cosmetic preparation is not equivalent to that medicinal product and cannot be used in its place in a vascular emergency.

The three references share the same regulatory category: enzymatic preparations for professional topical use, not injectable medicinal products. Disolvidase and HyaluronDase are supplied in lyophilised or powder form and require dissolution; PB Serum comes as a ready-to-use solution and is the only one with an enzyme of recombinant origin.

Application technique
According to the manufacturer's instructions: apply to intact skin in the target area and massage gently, in accordance with the professional protocol. Reconstitute the lyophilised preparation before application as indicated by Dermaqual.
The manufacturer does not publish in its product data sheet the dose, the reconstitution volume, the number of applications or the interval between them. The binding regimen is the one set out in the documentation accompanying the product.

Storage and pack contents

- Store protected from direct light and from heat sources, as indicated on the packaging.
- Once reconstituted, use in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
- Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
Contraindications and warnings
For topical use only on intact skin. Do not inject. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes.
Hyaluronidase is a recognised allergen: hypersensitivity reactions, including severe reactions, have been described in association with its administration. Do not apply in the event of known hypersensitivity to hyaluronidase or to any other component, or on skin with active infection, inflammation or lesion. Discontinue application in the event of any skin reaction.
