JALUPRO® HMW is the facial variant of Professional Derma's amino acid replacement therapy: it combines the same amino acid cluster as JALUPRO® Classic with high molecular weight sodium hyaluronate (High Molecular Weight), aimed at hydration and skin quality rather than filling. It is supplied as a two-component system — a 1.5 ml pre-filled syringe with the sodium hyaluronate gel and a 1 ml vial with the amino acid solution — which are mixed at the time of application.

Composition and technology
Sterile, resorbable injectable solution consisting of two components that are combined before use:

Why high molecular weight: long-chain sodium hyaluronate retains water in the dermal compartment and provides sustained hydration without generating the volumising effect typical of a cross-linked filler. This is the functional difference from JALUPRO® Classic, which is formulated with low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid. For this reason the manufacturer also indicates JALUPRO® HMW for lip rejuvenation where tissue quality is sought without increasing volume.
The amino acid cluster supplies the fibroblast with the building blocks of collagen and elastin synthesis: glycine and L-proline as the predominant residues of the triple helix, L-lysine in the cross-linking of the fibres and L-leucine as an essential amino acid.

All four share the same amino acid replacement principle; they differ in the molecular weight of the hyaluronic acid, the amino acid profile and the target area.
Indications and treatment areas
Indications according to the manufacturer:
- Photoageing and skin ageing of the face and body, of moderate and severe degree
- Dry and dehydrated skin
- Skin defects and depressions caused by marked wrinkles and scars
- Procedures carried out during the summer months
- Start of the revitalisation cycle, which may be combined with JALUPRO® Classic
- Preparation, enhancement and prolongation of the results of other aesthetic procedures; adjunct in peelings and laser treatments
Treatment areas: face, neck, décolleté, hands, axillae, inner thighs, abdomen and knee region. Lips, for rejuvenation without adding volume.
The manufacturer reports that the biorevitalising efficacy increases progressively and is maintained for six months.
Technique and treatment protocol
Preparation: mix the sodium hyaluronate gel from the pre-filled syringe with the amino acid solution from the vial following the procedure indicated by the manufacturer. Apply immediately after mixing.
Validated injection techniques:
- Micropapules (intradermal multi-puncture)
- Linear retrograde
- Fanning
- Cross-hatching (grid)
- Mixed technique
Execution: insert the needle along the wrinkle and withdraw it progressively while releasing the product. After injection, if necessary, apply light massage to shape the treated area. For the correction of fine wrinkles, the recommended injection level is the reticular dermis.
Anaesthesia: local anaesthesia with 0.5–1 ml of 2 % procaine may be combined in order to reduce the stinging sensation after injection.
Note: the pack does not include needles; the practitioner must supply their own.

Storage and pack contents
The pack contains:
- 1 disposable, pyrogen-free glass syringe of 1.5 ml with sterile sodium hyaluronate gel
- 1 glass vial of 1 ml with sterile amino acid solution
Sterile single-use product. Store protected from direct light and heat sources, under the conditions stated on the packaging. Do not freeze. Do not use after the expiry date. Once mixed, the product must be used immediately.
Contraindications and warnings
Do not apply in case of known allergy to any of the components; infections, active inflammation, lesions or dermatoses in the treatment area; autoimmune disease or ongoing immunotherapy; keloid tendency. Not recommended in pregnancy and breastfeeding or in patients under 18 years of age.
