JALUPRO® Eyelash Enhancer is the cosmetic gel from Professional Derma for eyelashes and eyebrows. Its formulation is based on two actives: red clover flower extract (Trifolium pratense), rich in the isoflavone biochanin A, and the biomimetic peptide acetyl tetrapeptide-3. The manufacturer developed it from the eyelash life cycle — 1 to 9 months, much shorter than that of scalp hair — and from the weakening caused by friction from make-up and its removal.

Product rationale: eyelashes follow a three-phase cycle — anagen, catagen and telogen — analogous to that of scalp hair but much shorter: 1 to 9 months versus 3 to 6 years. They are subject to constant friction from make-up and to pressure during its removal, and from the age of 40 onwards they decrease in number and become finer and sparser. The formulation is aimed at the vitality and growth of eyelashes and eyebrows and at their resistance to loss.
The manufacturer reports that, after 2 months of treatment, an increase in resistance is observed together with significant growth of existing eyelashes and a 45 % recovery of new eyelashes.
Directions for use
- Apply to clean, dry eyelashes and eyebrows, having first removed make-up.
- The manufacturer recommends one application daily, in the evening.
- Continuous use: the results described by the manufacturer refer to a 2-month course of treatment.
- Avoid direct contact with the eye. In case of contact, rinse with plenty of water.
