Sunekos® 1200 is the structural reference of the Professional Dietetics range: it combines high molecular weight hyaluronic acid (1200 kDa) with the same patented complex of six amino acids as Sunekos® 200. In the manufacturer's protocol it is not used on its own, but as an initial "cushion" or scaffold on which the series of Sunekos® 200 sessions is subsequently applied.

  • HA high molecular weight, 1200 kDa
  • Formula HA + 6 amino acids
  • Function structural scaffold
  • Contents 2 vials (1 treatment)
  • Needles 27G–30G, 12–13 mm
Composition and technology
  • High molecular weight sodium hyaluronate (1200 kDa) in sterile gel. It is the component that differentiates this reference and the one that provides the structural support.
  • Patented complex of six amino acids: glycine, L-proline, L-leucine, L-lysine HCl, L-valine and L-alanine, in sterile solution.

Rationale of the range: the medium-high density hyaluronic acid of Sunekos® 1200 creates the volumetric support —the "cushion" technique (cushion technique)—, while the low density hyaluronic acid of Sunekos® 200 works on the quality of the extracellular matrix. It is the combination of both densities that aims to achieve the result in thin and lax skin.

The product is supplied in two vials that are reconstituted and combined immediately before injection. The manufacturer keeps the exact proportions of the formula proprietary.

Differences between the injectable references
Sunekos® 200Low density hyaluronic acid + 6 amino acids. First-line product, suitable for all dermal types. Areas: face and periocular area
Sunekos® 1200Medium-high density hyaluronic acid (1200 kDa) + the same amino acids. Structural scaffold preceding the protocol with Sunekos® 200. Area: face
Sunekos® PerformaLow molecular weight hyaluronic acid with a new proportion of the six amino acids. Pre-mixed format. Areas: face, periocular area and neck
Sunekos® BodyBody reference for stretch marks, laxity and roughness. Areas: arms, abdomen, knees and inner thigh
Indications and treatment areas

Indication of the combined protocol: marked wrinkles and skin laxity, attributed mainly to volume loss. The manufacturer directs this protocol at relatively older patients with a thin or deflated face.

Area of use indicated by the manufacturer for this reference: face. The techniques manual additionally covers combined use with Sunekos® 200 on the dorsum of the hands.

Technique and treatment protocol

Sunekos® 1200 + Sunekos® 200 protocol (marked wrinkles and laxity):

  • 1 treatment with Sunekos® 1200 as a scaffold.
  • Followed, on the same day or at most 1 or 2 days later, by 3 or 4 treatments with Sunekos® 200 at intervals of 7 to 10 days.
  • Maintenance: 1 treatment of Sunekos® 1200 + 1 treatment of Sunekos® 200, repeated at 4 and at 7 months from the first treatment.

Instruments and planes:

  • Needle: 27G–30G of 12–13 mm, mid-deep dermis, linear retrograde injection at 45°, 0.1 ml per point at 1.5 cm intervals.
  • Cannula: 25G or 27G of 50 mm, deep dermis, fanning technique.
  • RIFT (Reverse Interstitial Fluid Technique): injection technique in the direction opposite to the interstitial flow, indicated in areas of volume depletion. The sequence of injections runs from the periphery towards the centre, followed by a gentle massage with the fingertip in the same direction.
  • Hands: "cushion" technique with a 25G or 27G 50 mm cannula, fanning technique, approximately 15 boluses of 0.1 ml at 1.5 cm intervals, avoiding the veins; sessions every 14 days.
