Plinest® Eye is the variant of the Mastelli range formulated for the eye contour: PN-HPT® polynucleotides at 7.5 mg/ml in a 2 ml pre-filled syringe. The reduced concentration — compared with the 20 mg/ml of Plinest — reflects the lesser thickness and greater fragility of periocular skin and allows a superficial intradermal infiltration, without adding volume.

Composition and technology
- PN-HPT® polynucleotides: 7.5 mg/ml, that is 15 mg per 2 ml syringe.
- Origin: trout gonads from aquaculture intended for human consumption, subjected to Mastelli's proprietary high-purification process, which removes proteins and contaminants of potential allergenic character.
- PN-HPT® (Polynucleotides High Purification Technology): technology patented by Mastelli S.r.l., the company that introduced polynucleotides into aesthetic medicine.
- Mechanism of action: the polynucleotides stimulate the dermal fibroblast to synthesise glycosaminoglycans, collagen and elastin; as polyanionic polymers they bind water in the extracellular matrix and exert an antioxidant action against free radicals.
- The formulation contains neither hyaluronic acid nor anaesthetic.

Important clarification: Plinest Eye, Plinest Fast and Plinest Hair declare the same PN-HPT® concentration (7.5 mg/ml) and the same presentation (2 ml syringe). The difference between them lies in the registered indication, the treatment area and the session protocol, not in the concentration of the active substance. Plenhyage XL Strong, which is marketed alongside this range, does not belong to the Mastelli family: it is a brand of Bioformula S.r.l.
Indications and treatment areas
- Loss of firmness and elasticity in periocular skin
- Fine lines and superficial wrinkles of the eye contour
- Thin, dehydrated or tired-looking skin in the periorbital area
- Improvement of the texture and skin quality of the lower eyelid
Areas: eye contour and periocular region.
Dark circles of vascular or structural origin (palpebral groove, eye bags) are not corrected with polynucleotides; the indication is skin quality.
Technique and treatment protocol
- Injection plane: superficial intradermal.
- Technique: microdeposits (multiple puncture) or linear retrograde threading with a needle.
- Needle: 30G ½" (13 mm); 2 units included. In the periocular area finer gauges (32G) are commonly used according to the clinician's practice.
- Protocol: 3 to 4 sessions at intervals of 14 to 21 days.
- Compatible with combined protocols within the Plinest range and with other medical aesthetic treatments.

Storage and pack contents
- Storage: between 2 °C and 25 °C, protected from direct sunlight and heat sources. Do not freeze.
- Do not use after the expiry date shown on the pack.
- Sterile single-use product. Do not reuse or re-sterilise.
- The pack contains: 1 pre-filled syringe of 2 ml, 2 needles 30G ½", instructions for use and traceability labels.
Contraindications and warnings
Known hypersensitivity to any of the components; pregnancy and breastfeeding; active autoimmune diseases; active skin infection or inflammation in the treatment area, including active herpes simplex; coagulation disorders or anticoagulant therapy; ongoing oncological treatment; patients under 18 years of age.
As this is a product of fish origin, assess any history of fish allergy before application. The periocular area requires particular care with the depth of injection and the management of vascular risk.
