Ialest is the non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid solution from Mastelli S.r.l.: 20 mg/ml (2 %) of sodium hyaluronate in a 2 ml pre-filled syringe. It is the only product in the Mastelli range that contains no polynucleotides: it acts through hydration and improvement of the viscoelastic properties of the extracellular matrix, not through biostimulation with PN-HPT®.

Composition and technology
- Non-cross-linked sodium hyaluronate: 20 mg/ml, that is 40 mg per 2 ml syringe (2 %).
- Sterile, pyrogen-free, viscoelastic and transparent solution.
- Mechanism of action: hyaluronic acid is an essential component of the extracellular matrix and determines much of its mechanical and elastic properties. As it is not cross-linked, it generates neither volume nor projection: it distributes within the dermis, binds water and additionally acts as a free radical scavenger. With age, the physiological concentration of hyaluronic acid decreases, and this supplementation aims to restore hydration and turgor.
- Without polynucleotides, without anaesthetic. For biostimulation with PN-HPT®, the reference within the range is Plinest; for the combination of both active ingredients in a single syringe, Newest.

Ialest is the pure hydration product of the range: it provides twice as much hyaluronic acid as Newest (20 versus 10 mg/ml), but no polynucleotides. Plenhyage XL Strong, which is marketed alongside this range, does not belong to the Mastelli family: it is a brand of Bioformula S.r.l.
Indications and treatment areas
- Dehydrated skin with loss of turgor
- Loss of elasticity and superficial wrinkles associated with skin ageing
- Scar remodelling, including acne sequelae
- Improvement of skin nutrition and texture
Areas: face, neck, décolleté and dorsum of the hands.
Technique and treatment protocol
- Injection plane: intradermal.
- Technique: microdeposits (multi-puncture) or linear retrograde threading with a needle, depending on the area.
- Needle: 30G ½" (13 mm); 2 units are included.
- Dose and number of sessions: the volume per session and the number of sessions are adjusted to the practitioner's judgement and to the area treated. Mastelli does not publish a fixed protocol for this reference; follow the one stated in the instructions for use in the packaging.

Storage and pack contents
- Storage: between 2 °C and 25 °C, protected from direct sunlight and heat sources. Do not freeze.
- Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
- Sterile single-use product. Do not reuse or re-sterilise.
- The pack includes: 1 pre-filled syringe of 2 ml, 2 needles 30G ½", instructions for use and traceability labels.
Contraindications and warnings
Known hypersensitivity to any of the components; pregnancy and breastfeeding; active autoimmune diseases; active skin infection or inflammation in the treatment area, including active herpes simplex; coagulation disorders or anticoagulant therapy; ongoing oncological treatment; patients under 18 years of age.
Do not apply over areas with permanent implants or non-resorbable filler material without prior assessment.
